Biography

I am Dr. Javaid Iqbal Mir, a fisheries researcher (Senior Research Fellow) at Directorate of Coldwater Fisheries Research, India, born in May 1984. I have completed my M.Sc and D.Phil from HNB Garhwal central university, India. I have worked on Fish biodiversity assessment and explorations, Fish stock identification by using life history traits and molecular markers, Biology and characterization of endangered fishes, Truss and Geometric morphometrics (Landmark based techniques), Fish taxonomy, Ornamental fish breeding and culture, Extension work (Creating water harvesting infrastructure, aquaculture technology development, on-farm demonstration programmes and nutritional security for farmers etc.)
