Jehad Adwan

Jehad is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing. He also serves as a pediatric nurse at the University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital, Minneapolis, MN. Jehad received his undergraduate nursing education in Gaza, Palestine in 1993. He came to Minnesota in 1998 through the Fulbright scholarship program and earned a master’s degree in nursing education in 2000. He completed the PhD program in the summer of 2010. Jehad’s teaching includes didactic and clinical instruction as part of the BSN and MN pediatric courses. He also co-teaches the Immunization Tour class alongside colleagues from the school of nursing and college of Pharmacy. Other activities include involvement in the Electronic Information Form system www.myEIF.org, which is a collaborative web-based tool to manage health information for children with special health care needs for emergency use. Parents and healthcare professionals collaborate in creating and updating critical patient information for use in case of emergency.
