Dr. Jia Meng has received his PhD in University of Texas during the period of 2011. Currently, he is working as supervisor of the Bioinformatics core facility in Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities as Postdoctoral Research Associate in University of Texas at San Antonio .He is serving as an reviewer of several journals like IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, BMC genomics, PLoS ONE. He has authored many research articles/books.
Computational biology projects, including transcription factor and microRNA mediated mRNA gene regulatory network reconstruction, TF/miRNA target prediction, biclustering analysis of time series Microarray gene expression data, DNA methylation microarray, GBM and breast cancer subtype identification and survival analysis with TCGA data, and neuroinformatics project in EEG signal classification under RSVP paradigm, etc. Currently focusing on the integrative and comparative analysis of next generation sequencing (NGS) data for studying histone modification, DNA binding protein, RNA epigenetics, novel transcript identification, etc.
