Jianlin Cheng

Biography

Dr. Jianlin Cheng received his PhD in information and computer science from the University of California – Irvine in 2006. He is currently an associate professor in the Computer Science Department at the University of Missouri - Columbia.His research focuses on bioinformatics, computational systems biology, machine learning and data mining. Dr. Cheng has authored or co-authored 50+ journal articles in bioinformatics and systems biology and developed or co-developed dozens of bioinformatics software tools. His research has been supported by the National Institute of Health (NIH), the National Science of Foundation (NSF), the Department of Energy (DoE), and University of Missouri - Columbia.
