John L. Zhou, Professor, Department of Applied Sciences, London South Bank University, UK. Since obtaining his 1st degree in environmental engineering in 1986, John Zhou has been pursuing his research in the UK with a master and PhD degree at Manchester University. He has taught at the University of Wales Bangor and University of Sussex, before becoming Professor of Environmental Engineering at London South Bank University in 2010. He has published over 80 articles in international journals, and acted as an expert assessor for various funding bodies including the EU’s framework programmes and the US National Science Foundation.
