Research Interest

Medicinal herbs, Phytochemsitry, chemotaxonomic significance of seondary metabolites of Tunisian aromatic and medicinal plants (Hypericum, citrus, salvia, coriander, carthamus,  Rosa, Ailanthus, Allium and Schinus). Another approches developed in our research group are the evaluation of the biological activities (antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal, phytotoxic and insecticidal activities) of the secondary metabolites from different plant species. Studies concerning the effects of some abiotic stress (salinity, pollution etc.) on the physiological and biochemical process in some aromatic and medicinal plants were also undertaken.
