Kazufumi Ohshiro completed his Ph.D. in Biosystem Science at Niigata University Graduate School of Science and Technology, Japan. He did his postdoctoral training at University of Texas, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, TX and The George Washington Medical Center, DC, USA. He is working as an Assistant Professor at Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, The George Washington Medical Center, DC, USA.
My research interests include understanding the fundamental biochemical and molecular mechanisms that underlie cancerous processes. A particular focus on our research is on the role of estrogen receptor, nuclear receptor coregulators, chromatin remodeling, DNA repair, and growth regulation in cancer cells. Those researches can help us to understand cancer cell biology and to develop new cancer therapeutic strategies.
