Biography

Dr. Kellye Joiner is an assistant professor and anatomic pathologist in the Department of Pathobiology at Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.  She obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy at Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama where she also completed her anatomic pathology residency training.  She is presently pursuing specialty board certification by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists.  Her primary research focus is avian and food animal pathology with strong emphasis on emerging and significant avian respiratory pathogens and infectious reproductive pathogens of the bovine host.  For the past five years, she has been actively engaged as a collaborator and study pathologist for studies designed to investigate the pathogenesis of avian infectious bronchitis virus and bovine trichomoniasis.
