Kristyan M Kouri

Biography

Kristyn Kouri, Ph.D is a sociologist who teaches sociology and gender & women’s studies at Cal State University Northridge. Dr. Kouri’s academic research work focuses on education, women & crime, and black/white interracial couples/families. She has a number of research interests which include: Women and Crime, Family, Race, Class, & Gender and their Interconnections, Social Movements and education. Dr. Kouri is a public sociologist who writes about a variety of social issues designed for the general public. She is a contributor for the Los Angeles Daily News and its affiliated newspapers.
