Dr Liu Xuewei is an Associate Professor of School of Physical & Mathematical Sciences, Division of Chemistry & Biological Chemistry, Nanyang Technological University. He obtained his PhD degree in 2000 in chemistry from University of Southern California and Post-Doctorate in 2005 from California Institute of Technology. His research interest is in organic chemistry, chemical biology, medicinal chemistry and materials chemistry. Dr Xuewei is the member of various chemical society and journals and has more than 100 publications.
Organic chemistry, chemical biology, medicinal chemistry and materials chemistry. A special emphasis is placed on training and research in carbohydrate synthesis and on the utilization of this expertise in addressing problems of medicinal and biochemical significance.
