Biography

Martin Obert is a chemist who received his doctorate at the University of Bielefeld, Germany.He is Researcher in the Department of Neuroradiology of the University Hospital Gießen and Marburg, Campus Gießen. He runsan experimental, high-resolutionComputed Tomography system that is intensively used in the background of anthropology. His curiosity in aging human remains arose in an ongoing, inspiring cooperation with Marcel Verhoff from the Department of Forensic Medicine from the same University. Obert currently advises a group of 20 medical students who want to attain a degree as MD.

Research Interest

Bone imaging and osteology;agingskeletal remains andexploration of gender differences based on radiological images; exploration of correlations betweenlung-image-statistics and disease; applications of the concept of fractal geometry to describe irregular anatomical systems;computer vision and computer assisted diagnoses.
