Michael A.Via

Biography

Dr. Michael Via is an assistant professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, a  practicing endocrinologist, director of inpatient metabolic support at Beth Israel Medical Center and a voluntary faculty member of Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He is an active member of the nutrition committee of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.

Research Interest

His research interests include metabolic support in chronic critical illness, advanced glycosylation end product levels in critical illness and nutritional support, autologous adult stem cell therapies in type 1 diabetes and the association of vitamin D deficiency and hypocalcemia following thyroidectomy. He has over 15 articles published he has given presentations at several national meetings.
