Dr. Iba received his undergraduate degree in chemistry and biology at the University of Wisconsin and his PhD in pharmacology at the University of Illinois. He did postdoctoral work at the University of Minnesota and is currently in the Department of Pharmacology at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Rutgers University. He is a member of several scientific societies, including the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, American Association for Cancer Research, and International Society for the Study of Xenobiotics. Has served as a consultant on national and international scientific review panels and has reviewed extensively for many scientific reasearch journals, including editorial board memberships. He is actively engaged in research and teaching on, and has published in the areas of inhalation toxicology; toxicology of mixtures, including tobacco smoke and other combustion emissions; mutagenesis; developmental toxicology; pharmacogenetics; metabolism and toxicology of therapeutic drugs.
