Dr. Min Du earned his B.S. and M.S. in China, and his Ph.D. from Iowa State University in 2001. After postdoctoral training at the University of Alberta, Canada, he was hired as an Assistant Professor at the University of Wyoming (UW) in 2003 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2009. He moved to Washington State University as a professor and funded Chair in 2011.
His research focuses on the physiological conditions regulating skeletal muscle growth and development, and mechanisms governing differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells into myocytes, adipocytes and fibroblasts during fetal development. He has been publishing actively and currently serving as reviewers for a number of funding agencies and journals.
