Dr Mohammad Alshayeb is an associate professor of software engineering in the Information and Computer Science Department at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. He received his certificate of softwareengineering, MS and PhD in computer science from the University of Alabamain Huntsville in 1999, 2000 and 2002 respectively. He received his BS incomputer science from Mutah University, Jordan in 1995. Dr Alshayebworked as a senior researcher and software engineer and managed softwareprojects in the United States and the Middle East. He taught and coordinatedindustrial training courses, and provided consulting services to majorindustrial and educational institutes. He is a certified project manager (PMP).Dr Alshayeb’s research interests include software refactoring, software quality, software measurement and metrics, object-oriented design andempirical studies in software engineering.
