Biography

Dr. Nathalie Rose Le François (Ph.D. in Oceanography 1998) is a fish ecophysiologist interested in the adaptability of native cold-water finfish species of particular status (fisheries, aquaculture or population status concerns) such as Anarhichadidaes,Salmonidaes and Gadidaes.    Dr. Le François is currently research scientist and scientific advisor at the Biodôme de Montréal (MOntréal, QC, Canada) and associate professor both at Université du Québec à Rimouski (Dept. Biology, Rimouski, QC, Canada) and Université Laval (Dept. Animal Sciences, Québec, QC, Canada). Dr. Le François published over 30 research articles and participated to many conferences, research  and strategic committee and supervised over 14 master and doctorate students.  Editor-in-chief and author of Finfish Aquaculture Diversification published in 2010 by CABI  (Le François, Jobling, Carter & Blier eds., she has been  involved in finfish aquaculture diversification at the national and international level and is mainly applying an holistic approach to improved profitability by incorporating different analytical tools, methods, approaches and expertises.
