Niket Kumar Patel

Biography

Dr Niket Kumar Patel obtained his Ph.D. from St. John’s University, USA in 2013. Dr. Patel’s research is focused on transdermal iontophoretic delivery of Tacrine Hydrochloride for treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. During his PhD, he developed the formulation loaded patches for iontophoretic delivery of tacrine hydrochloride focusing on in vitro-in vivo correlation study. Furthermore, he have also worked in the research area of ethosomes, transferosomes, solid lipid nanoparticles, solid dispersion, microemulsion creams and hydrogels. He have published 8 publications in prestigious international journals and 2 book chapters. Dr. Patel have also served as a distinguished editorial board member/ reviewer in more than 10 international journals and was an invited judge in AAPS, and NJPHAST conferences. He is currently working at QS Pharma, USA as senior formulation scientist where he works on the formulation development of Phase- I, II and III clinical trial materials.
