Dr. Noreen Khan-Mayberry received her PhD in EnvironmentalToxicology from Texas Southern University in 2003. Currently, she is detailed to the NASA as a Scientific Technical Expert and has served a Space Toxicologist at NASA since 2004. She has successfully completed her Administrative responsibilities as a Space Toxicologist, US Chair of the International Air Quality Working Group, Project Manager of the Advanced Environmental Health project and Technical Manager of the Lunar Airborne Dust Toxicology Assessment Group.
She is currently serving as an editorial member of the The International Journal of Disaster Advances. She has authored a number of research articles in space Toxicology and planetary dust toxicity and served as the lead author of the first chapter featuring the specialty of Space Toxicology ever to be featured in an International Toxicology textbook. She is a Fellow of the International Congress of Disaster Management and a member of the Society of Toxicology and the American College of Toxicology. She has been honoredas a 2010 Technology Rising Star and a distinguished guest speaker at the Women as Global Leaders international conference, among several other awards.
