Dr. Om Sharma, Professor of Biochemistry is a Scientist-in-Charge at Indian Regional Station, Palampur, Kangra Valley (India). Dr. Sharma earned his PhD in Biochemistry at Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow, India. Thereafter he joined Agricultural Research Service and has served in different capacities in IVRI since 1977. Dr. Sharma has an experience of 37 years in research and teaching and published 120 research papers and review articles. He has won Commonwealth Postdoctoral Award at the University of West London, Brunel (1984-1985), Gold Medal of Panjab University Chandigrah, Best Paper Awards of the Society of Biological Chemists (India) on two occasions and of the Society of Toxicology (India). Dr. Sharma is a Fellow of the Society of Toxicology (India), member Editorial Board, International Journal of Animal Sciences, Asian Journal of Cell Biology, Asian Journal of Biochemistry, Research Journal of Microbiology, Indian Journal of Microbiology and life member of Indian Science Congress Association, Society of Biological Chemists, and Society of Toxicology.
