Pamela Elizabeth Potter

Dr. Pamela Potter is currently Professor and Chair of Pharmacology at the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, Midwestern University, Glendale, AZ. She received her Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Dalhousie University, Halifax, NS Canada, and then trained as a Fogarty International Fellow at the National Institute of Mental Health. Dr. Potter was an Assistant then Associate Professor in Anesthesiology and Neurosurgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY. She joined Midwestern University in 1997 as an Associate Professor, and was promoted to Professor in 2001 and to Chair of Pharmacology in 2005. Dr. Potter has had an active research career, publishing and receiving NIH funding primarily in the area of neurotransmitter release and signaling dysfunction in models of Alzheimer’s disease. She is currently active as a grant reviewer for the Alzheimer Association and the Veteran’s Administration, as well as a reviewer for several scientific journals
