Biography

Lorenzo Pecoraro is Associate Professor at School of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology, Tianjin University, Tianjin, China.
He received his PhD in Applied Environmental Sciences and Technologies at the University of Siena, Italy (2010), and his MSc in Natural Sciences at Rome University “La Sapienza”, Italy (2002).
He worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the State Key Laboratory of Mycology, Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China (2016-2018), Center for Biotechnology & BioMedicine and Division of Life & Health Sciences, Tsinghua University and The National Orchid Conservation Center of China, Shenzhen, China (2014-2016), Estonian University of Life Sciences, Tartu, Estonia (2011-2013), and University of Pavia, Italy (2010).

Research Interest

Lorenzo Pecoraro research interests mainly focus on plant-fungus interactions, including mycorrhizal associations and endophytic fungi, as well as on fungal taxonomy, community ecology, environmental microbiology for the analysis of microbial communities in different habitats using molecular analysis, and fungal biotechnology such as medicinal mushrooms cultivation.
