Dr. Mitrasinovic is Professor of Biotechnology at Indian Institute of Technology – Roorkee, Professor at Belgrade Institute of Science and Technology and Visiting Professor at Wakayama University-Japan. He earned Ph.D. (2002) in chemistry from Florida State University and was European Union Research Scientist at University of Mons-Hainaut-Belgium, Izaak Walton Killam Fellow at Dalhousie University-Canada, IBM Research Scientist at Henri Poincare University-France, and Associate Professor of Biophysics at Center for Multidisciplinary Studies, University of Belgrade-Serbia. The author of over 100 articles and book chapters and of 5 books in drug design, chemistry and biotechnology. Plenary/invited speaker at numerous symposiums worldwide, elected Full Member of European Society of Computational Methods in Science and Engineering since 2005, and recipient of several international awards: Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Award (2003-04) from Dalhousie University-Canada in recognition of outstanding academic achievements, Indian National Science Academy Professorship (2009-12), and Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Professorship (2010-11).
Dr. Petar M. Mitrasinovic research interst are diverse like Bioprocesses of Cell Therapeutics, Drug Design, Systems Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biochemistry, Quantum Chemistry, Computational Surface Chemistry, Computational Nanotechnology and Nanobiology.
