Biography

Assistant Professor Yacobucci teaches in judicial politics, constitutional interpretation, and administrative law, along with instruction in American politics, research methods and statistics. His current research focuses on the ideological drift through the growing influence of neoliberalism in the Supreme Court’s opinions and the implications on the litigants before the Court.  In addition, Dr. Yacobucci is interested in how the Equal Protection Clause has been reinterpreted beyond its original intent and meaning. He maintains an active research agenda concerning the best teaching practices at the post-secondary level. He is a member of the editorial board for the OPOSSEM, an international collaboration to support research methods within the social sciences. Dr. Yacobucci received his M.P.P. (1993) from the Georgetown Public Policy Institute and his Ph.D. (2003) from the University of Arizona. He has worked as a federal law enforcement officer and a policy analyst for the U.S. Department of Justice.
