Priyanka Singh is a Post-doctoral researcher at Anthropological Survey of India, Ministry of Culture,-Government of India. She is currently working in Genetic epidemiology field focusing on the Genetic Predisposition of Coronary Heart Disease among Jain and Thakur population of Madhya Pradesh, India. She received her doctorate in Physical Anthropology on Ear Biometrics from Dr. Hari Singh Gaur Central University, Sagar, M.P., India. Her Doctoral thesis is on comprehensive somatometry and somatoscopy of human external ear focussing on its probable use as a potential tool in ‘Biometrics’. She received Indian Science Congress Association’s (ISCA) Young Scientists’ Award 2009-10 in Anthropological and Behavioral Sciences.
