Qiaobing Xu
Department of Biomedical Engineering
Tufts University, USA
Dr. Qiaobing Xu is currently an assistant professor in department of biomedical engineering and adjunction assistant professor in department of chemical and biological engineering at Tufts University. He obtained his PhD in chemistry under the guidance of Prof. George Whitesides from Harvard University where he invented “Nanoskiving”, a novel technology to fabricate functional nanomaterials. Before joining Tufts, he was a postdoctoral fellow with Prof. Robert Langer at MIT, where he worked on developing novel nanomaterials for drug delivery applications.
Dr. Xu’s research interests lie at the intersection of material science engineering, specifically nanoscience, and biomedical application. . His work involves using combinatorial method to develop novel materials for the delivery of therapeutics for the applications in vaccines and cancers. Xu is also developing the micro/nanotechnology tools for tissue engineering applications.
