A health outcomes researcher by training, Dr. Rahul Khanna received his M.S. (2007) and Ph.D. (2010) from West Virginia University. He completed his B.Pharm from Delhi University (1997), and MBA from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (2004), India. His research efforts are geared towards the use of claims data for pharmacoepidemiological research in the area of autism. He is particularly interested in assessing the healthcare utilization and economic burden associated with autism, and the impact of the disorder on health-related quality of life of individuals and their caregivers. Dr. Khanna has worked on both limited and public use datasets such as Medicaid and Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project to undertake autism-related research. His work in autism has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals and presented at national conferences.
