Dr. Rajni Ahlawat is currently working as an attending physician in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Marshfield Clinic and Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, WI. She completed medical school from one of the reputable medical schools in India, Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi (1999-2005). She moved to the United States in 2006 and worked as a Post-doctoral research fellow in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology at the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore (2007-2010), MD. She did internship in Pediatrics from University of Kansas-Wichita, KS. She completed Pediatric residency and clinical fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition from North Shore Long Island Jewish (NSLIJ) hospital, Hofstra University, New York. She is board certified in Pediatrics as well as Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. She is a reviewer for a number of journals and has published in several international peer-reviewed journals. She has presented at various national and international meetings and earned several awards, including the Trainee Travel Award for the Eastern Society for Pediatric Research Conference. She has active interest in academics, teaching medical students and residents. She is a member of American Gastroenterology Association (AGA) and North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN). Her research interests include celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, nutrition and biliary dyskinesia.
