Rohit Aggarwal, MD, MSc is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Division of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology, University of Pittsburgh. He is also the CoDirector of the Myositis Clinical which is a center of excellence for myositis clinical patient care and research at University of Pittsburgh. He did his training in Internal Medicine at University of Pittsburgh and completed Rheumatology fellowship from Rush University Medical College. His background includes a Masters of Science in Clinical Research.
Dr. Aggarwal’s research interests have focused on clinical, epidemiologic and serologic studies of the idiopathic inflammatory myopathies as well as associated interstitial lung diseases. He is also a co-investigator in NIH sponsored multi-center trial of rituximab treatment in myositis. He is currently actively involved in several clinical trial and collaborative studies on myositis including serological biomarkers in myositis, response and outcome studies on myositis, and mechanisms of response and relapse in rituximab-treated myositis patients.
