Sameh AS Alariqi

Biography

Sameh A. S. Alariqi Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Chemistry, Faculty of  Applied Science, Taiz University, Taiz, Yemen. He received his Ph.D. in Polymer Science & Engineering in March 2006, from the Division of Polymer Science and Engineering; National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) New Delhi, India. His thesis was based on Durability of Radiation-Sterilized Biomedical Polyolefins: Stabilization of Ethylene-Polypropylene Copolymer to Gamma Initiated Oxidation. His research experience is in the fields of Degradation and Stabilization of Polymers, Biodegradable Polymers, synthesis of stabilizers, stabilizers interaction and synergism mechanism, Radiochemistry, Environmental Chemistry and Food Safety. Several researches were published dealing with Degradation and Stabilization of Biomedical Plastics and Packaging material using food approved stabilizers against γ-sterilization published in several journals and 2 books dealing with these topics. He was awarded the Prize of Yemen President for Scientific Research 2010 in the Field of Environmental Science and Pollution Control.
