Sara Baratchi
RMIT University, Research fellow, Health Innovations Research Institute, Australia
Sara Baratchi received her PhD in Cell Biology from Deakin University (Australia) in 2011. During 2011-2012, She was a research fellow at Monash University (Australia) studying immunological synapses using microfluidic-enabled technologies. Since 2013, She had joined RMIT University (Australia) to study the effect of blood flow on mechano-transduction of vascular endothelial cells, and its role on vascular biology and pathology. She is interested in developing biologically inspired microfluidic platforms to understand how flow-induced shear stress influences different cellular functions. Her research interests include mechano-transduction, cell signalling, mechano-sensitive ion channels, and bio-microfluidics.
