Sara Chelland Campbell was recently hired as an Assistant Professor of Exercise Science at Rutgers University. Prior to joining Rutgers she was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Nutrition, Food and Exercise Sciences at Florida State University. Dr. Campbell’s postdoctoral research was supported by a USDA postdoctoral fellowship and focused on examining the anti-atherogenicity of flaxseed. She received her PhD from Florida State University in which she researched the acute effects of isocaloric energy expenditure on lipids, lipoproteins, and enzymes related to lipid transport including cholesterol ester transfer protein and lecithin cholesterol acyl transferase. She received both her MS and BS from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania Dr. Campbell has publications in several journals including Atherosclerosis, Preventive Medicine, European Journal of Applied Physiology, Menopause, and Research Quarterly in Sports Sciences. She is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and American Society of Nutrition.
