Shaopeng (Frank) Cheng is an associate professor in the School of Engineering and Technology at Central Michigan University (CMU). He is also a certified instructor for FANUC Robotics America, Inc. Dr. Cheng has taught various courses in robotics, circuits, control systems, fluid power, and industrial automation for both engineering and technology programs at CMU. His research interest includes robotics, control systems, industrial robot simulation and offline programming, and intelligent industrial robotics solutions. He is currently a member of IEEE and an Editorial Board member of International Association of Journals and Conferences (IAJC), Intellectbase International Consortium, and International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems. He reviewed many technical papers for Journal of Engineering Technology, Journal of Industrial Robots, International Association of Journals and Conferences (IAJC), International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, ASEE National Conference, and IEEE ICMA Conference.
His research interest includes robotics, control systems, industrial robot simulation and offline programming, and intelligent industrial robotics solutions.
