He received a Ph.D. in Medicine from Graduate School of Medicine, Fujita Health University (1992, Japan). Dr. Maeshima’s current work is stroke rehabilitation, especially cognitive functions and swallowing disorders. He is not only a veteran judoist of the third rank, but an alpine skiing player on the active list. Therefore, he is interested in Sports Medicine. He published lots of papers in peer-reviewed journals (100 English and 300 Japanese).
