Currently a postdoctoral fellow studying the effects of nutritional factors on Traumatic brain injury and the molecular mechanisms of neuroplasticity and repair following brain trauma at University of California-Los Angeles (U.S.A). I have my PhD in Molecular & Biochemical Nutrition from Auburn University, Alabama (U.S.A) and my research focused on identifying the links between obesity associated insulin resistance and Alzheimer’s disease (AD), as well as elucidating the potential role of bioactive compounds such as resveratrol against oxidative stress and memory loss in AD. I have published over 8 peer-reviewed manuscripts including 5 first author manuscripts. I am currently a reviewer for various journals, and am a member of Society for Neuroscience.
