Shuijun Li is the Deputy Director of Central Laboratory, Deputy Director of Department of Science and Education, Group Leader of Bioanalytical Section of Phase I Clinical Trial Unit, Shanghai Xuhui Central Hospital; and the Principle Investigator of Shanghai Clinical Research Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The Central Laboratory annually performs over 150,000 tests for patient care and consists of liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), PCR, flow cytometry, and clinical chemistry units. Dr. Li received his PhD in Pharmacology from State Key Laboratory of Drug Research, Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, CAS. He also spent a year as a visiting scholar at the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Institute, Cleveland Clinic from 2011 to 2012. Dr. Li is a member of China Bioanalysis Forum (CBF), the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC), Shanghai Pharmaceutical Association (SPA), and Shanghai Society Laboratory Medicine (SSLM). He has published 69 peer-reviewed papers, received 5 patents and co-edited the book “APPLICATION OF LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY-MASS SPECTROMETRY IN CLINICAL LABORATORIES”. He is the prize winner of Shanghai Science and Technology Award (2014, 2013), Gold Award for Shanghai Outstanding Inventor (2013), Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Award (2011, 2010), "Silver Snake Award" Shanghai Health System (2009). Dr Li has been the principal investigator or co-investigator in several science research studies and clinical trial projects.
Dr. Li's research interests include biomarker discovery and validation, therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM), method development/validation/bioanalysis with LC-MS/MS for clinical laboratories, phase I clinical trials and clinical pharmacology
