Dr. Suman Kundu is a researcher in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, USA. Presently he is working in various NIH-funded projects linking standard risk factors and bio-markers investigating the impact of HIV, inflammation, and alcohol use on cardiovascular outcomes. Prior to joining at Vanderbilt in 2015, he received his DSc in Epidemiology from Erasmus University in the Netherlands and MSc in Mathematics from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in India. His research focuses on methodological and analytical considerations in prediction research, Simulation study and Biomarker research. He has published several manuscripts in peer reviewed journals focusing on incremental value of adding new bio-markers in predicting complex diseases through modeling studies to justify whether empirical investigation is warranted. He is interested in advanced statistical modeling applied in health science research.
