Suzanne C Ho is Emeritus Professor of Public Health and Primary Care, and Founding Director of Centre of Research and Promotion of Women’s Health of the Medical Faculty of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is also the Founding Director of the Postgraduate Programmes in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Founding Member and the Vice-President of “Women’s Initiative for Successful Aging – Hong Kong”. Professor Ho has, since 2001, initiated many health and educational programmes for the promotion of women’s health. Prof. Ho was selected by South China Morning Post as Hong Kong’s 25 most inspirational and influential women for 2012 “Women of our time”. Professor Ho’s major research interests are in aging; women’s health, particularly cardiovascular disease risks, osteoporosis, and breast cancer; nutritional epidemiology, particularly health effects of soy. She has obtained many competitive grants from the government as well as international research funds for studies in the above-mentioned areas. Her publications have totaled 21 books and book chapters, and over 210 scientific publications in refereed journals.
