Sven Diederich

Sven Diederich (born in 1962) started with a study of dentistry (1982 to 1987), changed to medicine and graduated from the Free University Berlin in 1992. His clinical training concentrated on internal medicine, endocrinology, diabetes and andrology. From 2000 to 2004, he was Senior Consultant at the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition, Charité, University Hospital Benjamin Franklin, Berlin.
In 2004, Sven Diederich became director of the Endokrinologikum Berlin, a clinical and research centre of nowadays 16 physicians.Sven Diederich’s basic and clinical area of research is focused on the adrenal gland, especially endocrine hypertension, and on pharmacology of steroids. He is author of more than 50 scientific papers as well as book chapters. Sven Diederich is one of the founding members of the section “Adrenal gland, hypertension and steroids” of the German Society of Endocrinology. In addition, he is member of different other national and international clinical societies.
