Dr. Sariyildiz is Professor in Forestry Faculty of Kastamonu University, Turkey. He received his PhD from the Department of Biology (Soil Ecology), Exeter University in England. He holds a MSc in Plant and Soil Science from Aberdeen University in Scotland and a BSc in Forest Engineering from Blacksea Technical University in Turkey. His main research interests are on the factors influencing litter decomposition rates, soil organic carbon stocks, nutrient cycling in a forest ecosystem, environmental pollution. His research results were published in several international journals, including Soil Biology and Biochemistry, Biology and Fertility of Soils, Forest Ecology and Management, Ecosystems, European Journal of Forest Research, Turkish Journal of Agriculture and Forestry.
