She completed her residency and became a consultant in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Mayo Clinic in 1983. She is an assistant professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Mayo Clinic. My main areas of clinical practice are arthritis and fibromyalgia. Her research interest is in fibromyalgia. She received a grant to study “Application of Stance Control Orthosis in patients with Inclusion Body Myositis” from the Myositis Association of America and a PMR Research award to study “Barriers and needs in weight management for obese patients with fibromyalgia.” My current research has been focused on the outcome of our Fibromyalgia program and predictors for treatment response in this unique patient population. Her publications in peer-reviewed Journals and in book chapters are related to above clinical and research interest.
