Thomas Lutteke

Biography

Thomas Lütteke is head of a bioinformatics group at the Institute of Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry at Justus-Liebig-University Giessen, Germany. He has earned his PhD at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg in the group of Dr. Willi von der Lieth, where he worked on detection, analysis and validation of carbohydrate 3D structures in the PDB. After PostDoc positions at MIT (USA) and the universities of Utrecht (NL) and Nijmegen (NL) he became Juniorprofessor for bioinformatics in Giessen. The GLYCOSCIENCES.de web portal and MonosaccharideDB are hosted and maintained in his group.
