Veera Manukonda

Biography

I graduated from JNTU,Hyderabad, India and in my first postdoctoral research fellow position at University of Texas Medical Branch(UTMB) I worked on neural cell adhesion molecules that expresses at nerve junctions and form trans-synaptic bridges at synaptic cleft. These CAMs play crucial role in synaptogenesis and are also implicated in many autism spectrum disorders.

Research Interest

Currently working on transcription factors such as RORγt, mechanism of regulation of IL-17 in TH 17 cells by RORγt and its implications on many diseases i.e. autoimmune diseases, Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and cancer etc.
