Associate Professor, Department of Radiation Oncology
Rush University Medical Center, USA
Dr. Victor V. Levenson is an Associate Professor at Rush University Medical Center (Chicago, IL). Dr. Levenson received his MD from the 2nd Moscow State Medical Institute and his PhD in cellular and molecular biology from the Institute of Molecular Biology (Moscow, USSR). He has been on faculty at University of Illinois at Chicago and Northwestern University (Chicago, IL). Dr. Levenson’s work in DNA methylation-based biomarkers has been recognized in peer-reviewed papers, reviews, and book chapters. His laboratory developed a unique and currently unmatched process for methylation detection in extremely small clinical samples (biopsies, cytological samples and cell-free-circulating DNA from blood) with the goal of developing biomarkers for screening, prediction and prognosis, and treatment monitoring.
