Biography

Dr. Wail Nammas was born in 1972, at Damietta, Egypt. After his graduation in Ain Shams University, Faculty of Medicine in 1995, he obtained the Master degree in Cardiology in 1999. Then he obtained the M.D. in Cardiology in 2003; thesis was focused on percutaneous catheter intervention for renal artery disease. Qualified for the position, he became a lecturer in Cardiology Department, Ain Shams University, Faculty of Medicine, in 2004. Then he traveled to Italy in 2005 where he received professional training in percutaneous coronary and peripheral catheter intervention for one and half years in the cath lab of Clinica Montevergine, Avellino, Italy. He was then directed to scientific research and has achieved many publications in high-rank international medical journals. His chief research interests include invasive cardiology, coronary circulation, and myocardial function. In 2011, he served as a senior researcher at Satakunta Central Hospital, Pori, Finland for 3 months, where he acquired an experience in coronary optical coherence tomography. In addition, he was selected as an international reviewer for "Echocardiography", "Expert Opinion on Pharmacotherapy", "Polish Heart Journal", "Medical Science Monitor", "Future Cardiology", "Interventional Cardiology" and "Cardiovascular & Hematological Disorders-Drug Targets", and as a member of the advisory board and Elite Reviewer for the "Anatolian Journal of Cardiology".

Research Interest

His chief research interests include invasive cardiology, coronary circulation, and myocardial function.
