Professor, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology
McMaster University, Canada
Dr. Foster is a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at McMaster University and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Cellular Biology and Pharmacology at Florida International University. Professor Foster is an expert in reproductive biology and toxicology. His studies address human exposure to environmental contaminants including endocrine disrupters. Ongoing studies in his laboratory explore the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying adverse reproductive health outcomes including dysregulation of ovarian function and endometriosis. He is an editor for the Journal of Applied Toxicology and past President of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society. His research is supported by finding from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Health Canada, and the pharmaceutical industry.
My research interests fall primarily into three categories as follows:
(1) reproductive epidemiology and biomonitoring.
(2) reproductive and development toxicity of environmental and dietary chemicals. (3) the cellular and molecular mechanisms of endometriosis.
