Dr. William G. Moseley is a professor of geography at Macalester College in Saint Paul, MN USA. He is an environment and development geographer with particular expertise in political ecology, tropical agriculture, food policy, livelihood security, and Africa. Before becoming an academic, he worked for ten years in the field of international development for such organizations as Save the Children (UK), the World Bank and USAID. He has published six books and over 50 academic articles and book chapters. He formerly served as a national councilor to the Association of American Geographers, editor of the African Geographical Review, and co-authored a National Academy of Science report on strategic directions for geography. His research has been funded by the National Science Foundation and the Fulbright-Hays program.
