Wondimu S Yirga

Biography

Wondimu is a public health specialist who has been working as research assistant and Lecturer at Haramaya University in Ethiopia. As an academician, he has been teaching undergraduate health science students and advised them during their research projects. He served as a board member of international graduate club at University of Southern Denmark campus Esbjerg. He worked and engaged in various health, social development and community health projects. Wondimu also served as program officer, volunteer and consultant at humanitarian organizations in Ethiopia and published articles on Female genital mutilation and Domestic violence against women in international journals.

Research Interest

Nursing research, Maternal and child health, reproductive health, harmful traditional practices, Domestic violence, immigrant health and culture and STDs including HIV/AIDS.
