Professor Ying Kong has received his MPA and PhD in Economics at Carleton University during the period of 1992 to 1999. Currently, he is working as tenured Associate Professor in Department of Economics in York University, Canada as well as a Visiting Professor and Associate Dean (Academic) of HSBC School of Business, Peking University, China. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities as Undergraduate Program Director, Member of Senate Committee on Tenure and Promotion at York University. He also held administrative and academic positions before at Health Canada, Statistics Canada, Ontario Property Assessment Corporation in Canada, as well as at Ministry of Education of China and Ministry of Science and Technology of China. He is serving as an editorial member of the reputed journal of World Economic Research (Hans Publisher). He has authored more than ten articles in refereed international academic journals such as Review of Industrial Organization, Health Economics, Applied Economics, etc. He also authored two academic books of Managerial Economics Case Study and Business Game which are published by Peking University Press. He has been invited to referee the articles for international reputed journals such as International Journal of Industrial Organization, Economic Journal, Review of Industrial Organization, Health Economics, Journal of Economics and Management Strategy, Health Policy, etc. He has honored as University Merit Award at York University, University Scholarly Merit Award, School Research Excellence Award, and University Distinguished Alumni Award for Teaching Excellence at Thompson Rivers University in Canada. He also won Best Presenter Award in 2004 Economics & International Business Research conference. He had Science and Technology Progress Award of Science and Technology Ministry of China for the research of development strategy of basic research in China. He is the member of Canadian Economics Association.
