YongMei Huang

Biography

YongMei Huang, MD/PhD, is currently working at the Columbia University Medical Center after receiving MPH from Harvard School of Public Health in May 2014. From 2010to 2013, she worked as a postdoc researcher within at Center of Biological Research of Population Council, located at Rockefeller University. Prior to the research in the U.S., Dr. Huang serviced as a physician at the International Peace Maternal & Child Hospital in Shanghai where she provided clinical care and was involved in the epidemiologic/clinical researches. Her researches focus on reproductive health, family planning services, maternal and child health as well as clinical research in Ob&Gyn. She has published over 30 peer-reviewed papers, thirteen for which she was the first author. Dr. Huang obtained the doctorate degree in Obstetrics& Gynecology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2008.
