Yoshiyuki Yamada

Biography

Yoshiyuki Yamada is Section Chief, Division of Allergy and Immunology, Gunma Childrens Medical Center in Gunma, Japan. He received his MD in Kansai Medical University (1995) and a PhD in Akita University Graduate School of Medicne (2003). He completed his Residency and Clinical Fellowship in Pediatrics, Kansai Medical University (1995-1998). He completed post-doctoral fellowship in Allergy and Immunology, Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Center (2003-2007). He is a recipient of several awards (American Heart Association Ohio Valley Affiliate Postdoctoral Fellowship, Best Abstract Award in 4th Biennial Congress of the Int Eosinophil Society, FIT Best Abstract Award, MAAI interest section American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI) 2006 and several awards of AAAAI) and several grants including Japanese national one. He is currently an assistant editor of Pediatrics International. Dr. Yamada is a team leader of pediatric eosinophilic esophagitis in Research on Intractable Diseases, Health and Labour Sciences Research Grants from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan.

Research Interest

Eosinophilic disorders (hypereosinophilic syndromes and eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders), allergic disorders, laboratory medicine and infectious diseases.
